The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of personality traits with its emphasis on individual learning on students' career aspirations. The research is a descriptive - correlation study and the population consisted of all of MA educational sciences and Psychology students of Allameh Tabatabai University in academic years of 2016-2017. Graduate students (N=350) were assigned as research population. The research sample was selected by Using Cochran formula on Simple random sampling (n=180). The data gathering tools of the stratified sampling method included questionnaire, Career Anchors Shine, short form NEO personality traits and individual learning questionnaire. The validity of the questionnaires have been confirmed in numerous Internal and external studies. With research on 30 students and by using Cronbach's alpha coefficient ,the reliability of the career aspirations questionnaire and personality traits and individual learning was obtained 0/91, 0/86 and 0/90 respectively. Descriptive and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation, regression analysis, path analysis) were applied to analyze the data by using SPSS and Amos Software. The findings showed that Personality characteristics in Error-level P

Because of the importance of personality traits in the development of identity styles, the present study investigated the role of openness to experience in anticipation of the identity styles and commitment. To do this, by using research method of correlation, 115 female students at University of Tehran were randomly selected and administered the Openness to Experience subscale of Costa& McCrae Personality Inventory (NEOPI-R) and Berzonsky Identity Style Inventory (ISI-4). Results showed that fantasy negatively and significantly correlated with informative identity style, and ideas positively and significantly correlated with informative identity style. Also, Results showed significant negative relationship between the total score of openness to experience, ideas, aesthetics, values and normative identity style. Furthermore, ideas and aesthetics were negatively and significantly correlated with diffuse-avoidant identity style. Besides, significant positive relationship between ideas and commitment was observed. Moreover, ideas and feelings positively anticipated and fantasy negatively anticipated the informative identity style variances. And the total score of openness to experience negatively anticipated and feelings positively anticipated the normative identity style and only ideas of the openness to experience dimensions negatively anticipated diffuse-avoidant identity style. Also, ideas positively anticipated and values negatively anticipated commitment variances. The results indicated that personality trait of the openness to experience plays an important role in the development of identity styles and commitment.

Background: The nature of help-seeking behavior is complex and multidimensional and has been investigated by researchers from various disciplines such as sociology, psychology. Objective: The aim of this research was to study the relationship between identity styles and social well-being with help-seeking behavior of high school students in mathematic subject. Method: The sample includes 131 high school students in Tehran city in the academic year of 1388-89. They were selected by multiple step cluster sampling method. The research instruments were Identity Styles Inventory of Berzonsky (1989), Social Well-Being Inventory of Keyes (1998), and Help-Seeking Inventory of Rayan & Pintrich (1997). Data were analyzed by Pearson correlation and linear multiple regression. Results: Results showed that social acceptance among five components of social well-being (solidarity, acceptance, participation, actualization, and adaptation) with all three identity styles (informational, normative, and diffuse / avoidant) could predict avoiding help-seeking in students. Thus, social acceptance, normative and informative identity styles had decreasing role, and avoidant identity style had increasing role in changes of students in mathematic. Among eight predict variables, five variables includes social participation, social actualization, avoidant, formative and informational identity styles could prediction help-seeking behavior of students in mathematic. Social solidarity, social adaptation, and social acceptance hadn’t any role in explaining of help-seeking. Conclusion: Based on these findings, we can suggest some practical implications regarding students' help-seeking behavior in mathematic

he purpose of the present study was to investigate the relationship between perceived parenting styles, identity styles and commitment in adolescents and causal model of these variables witch proposed by Berzonsky (2004). A total of 415 third-grade high school students (187 male and 238 female) were selected via cluster sampling method. Data collected by perceived parenting styles questionnaire, Berzonsky’s identity processing styles questionnaire and then analyzed using correlation, regression analysis and path analysis. Results showed that parenting styles and identity styles predict thirty one percent of variance of commitment. Also, identity styles were predicted significantly by parenting styles. The results of path analysis showed that causal model proposed by Berzonsky (2004) was not fitted in this study. Probably with regarding to the importance of ethnicity and cultural differences of Iran society and age differences, causal model proposed by Berzonsky (2004) was not confirmed in Iranian adolescents. However, in general, mother parenting styles and identity processing styles are good predictors of commitment of Iranian adolescents.

The aim of present research was to study and comparison of identity styles of Shahed adolescent students and its related factors. In this research 366 students between 12-18 years old were selected from Tehran Shahed schools through stratified random sampling method. Data was collected by Identity Styles Inventory (ISI), Adolescence Coping Scale (ACS), and Family Functioning Scale (FFS). Results indicated that: (1) there are any significant differences between male and female students in identity styles except in diffuse/avoidant style, (2) the significant relationship was found between age, family functioning components and identity styles, and (3) a relationship was observed between coping and identity styles. Results showed that identity formation in Shahed adolescents is the same as with other adolescents. In other hand, good affective relationship among family members can be influence in successful identity formation.
