The present study aims to investigate the effect of flipped learning patterns on the dimensions of self-directed learning of English grammar skills to improve teaching and learning strategies. This study is a quasi-experimental research with pre-test and post-tests. The statistical sample was selected as available by the random replacement for all students in the Aladdin Center in Mashhad in the two academic years from 2018 to 2020 with 220 students. To collect data, the questionnaire of Fisher et al (2001) was first administered to the experimental and control groups as a pre-test. Then, English grammar was taught to the control group under flipped teaching patterns and to the control group through the traditional method. In the end, a post-test was performed on both groups. To determine the validity and reliability of the study Cronbach's alpha coefficient (α), to check the normality of the study population repeated measures, and to answer the research questions sample t-test was used. Findings showed that the use of flipped learning patterns had an effect on the desire for learning and self-control but had no effect on self-management. Regarding the results, it can be argued the value and acceptability of the pattern are effective in self-directed learning at different higher education levels and have improved teaching and learning.

Transitional practical issues are among the topics pursued in vocational and technical vocational schools. The purpose of this study is to design and validate an educational model for teaching practical transitions in technical and vocational schools with a Constructivism approach. In order to achieve this goal, the present study was carried out mixed methods research with a sequential exploratory strategy with model design. Initially, qualitative research was carried out through using qualitative content analysis methods, interviews and formative research. In this section, an educational model for transitional practical issues with a constructivist approach was designed. In the quantitative research section, 60 students were selected convenience and randomly assignment as the experimental and control group. In the quantitative research section, 60 students of the tenth grade computer school in Urmia were selected in the 98-97 academic year and were randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups. The analysis method in this section was frequency and mean and analysis of covariance, according to which the educational package derived from the model has external validity. Based on the results of this study, a specific model was designed to teach practical topics of the transitional type with a constructive approach in technical and vocational schools. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that a constructivist approach be used in the form of a designed model to teach practical transfer topics in technical and vocational schools.

This study aimed at comparing the effectiveness of computer-based and computer-assisted instruction on the interaction of the elements of Teaching-Learning process in the second grade of the first secondary school science class in Asadabad. The study is part of the quasi-experimental projects that uses pre-test and post-test experimental groups 1 and 2. The statistical population of the study included all the male students in second grade of high school in the school year 2013-14 in Asadabad- Hamedan, with the volume of 852 students. Multi-stage cluster sampling was used to select the sample. The sample size was 100 students that were placed in pre-test and post- test groups 1 and 2. The first group studied the instructional CD with teacher guidance and the second group studied the instructional CD without teacher guidance. Both groups received their instruction in the network environment with the NSS software support. The research instrument included students’ interaction levels based on six interaction elements with 60 questions in Likert scale (very high, high, medium, low, very low). The multivariate analysis of covariance was used to test the hypotheses. The results suggest that in Teaching-Learning elements’ interaction that include six dimensions, there is no significant difference between computer-based and computer-assisted instruction in five dimensions except in content-content dimension in significance level %5. The findings show that computer-assisted instruction, the training and simulation activities with the guidance provided by the network and teacher is more effective compared to computer-based instruction.

This study was conducted to design and validate Mooc model-based distance education for students and validation in terms of experts. The research method was descriptive-analytic with approach of systematic review of research literature and descriptive-survey method was used to validate the model. In order to design educational model, the statistical society of this research includes all books, research and review papers, theses and internet information resources related to technology, especially Mooc technology and students distance education (from 2000 to 2017) and in order to validate model, statistical society includes specialists in educational technology and distance education. The sample consisted of 10 books and 20 articles associated with distance education, 5 books and 20 articles about mooc technology, which were selected for targeted analysis and to validate model, 30 specialists in educational technology and distance education participated as sample. Tools for data collection were taking note and a self-designed questionnaire with 7 questions in Likert scale. The results of this study led to formulation of a prescribed pattern. The pattern forming process includes eight steps: preparation, analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation and optimization of learning. These models were developed with an integrated approach and were used the strengths of different patterns of distance education environments and Mooc. Also, the results showed that the specialist's opinion was significantly higher than the average at every 7 questions about evaluation (P <0.01). It can be concluded that specialists largely evaluated the internal validation of pattern designed in distance education. Using Mooc model-based distance education was effective to increase academic engagement and academic performance of students who were trained under this program (P <0.01). As a result, this model can be used to teach students of PNU through Mooc technology.

This study aims to study developing English curriculum in the first period (grades1-3) of primary schools in Iran. The method is descriptive which was carried out by collecting data from successful Asian countries in teaching English as a foreign language. Then the viewpoints of national experts on the subject were collected through three researcher made questionnaires by Delphi method. All “absolutely agree” or “relatively agree” viewpoints were selected. In the third pause of the questionnaire confirmed views were evaluated and viewed. Average, standard deviation and one sample T-test was conducted for 5 point rating scale of the questionnaire. Due to the research results most of the experts (average of 4/64) believed that teaching English in primary school is essential and the aims of teaching English as well as language skills were determined from the experts’ viewpoints. Since there is a growing tendency from parents to learning English in the early years of primary schooling it seems that implementing English education to primary curriculum can support the establishment of an equanimity education for all the students.

The present research aims to study the effect of blended mentoring, as a learning and development strategy, on learning and retention of middle managers of Iran Khodro Diesel Company. This was an experimental research with pretest-posttest control groups. 40 subjects were selected from among all middle managers of the company, and randomly divided into experimental and control groups each comprising of 20 people. Before the intervention, the experimental and control groups were evaluated by the pretest that was a localized version of the Mackenzie Institute Problem Solving Test. The experimental group participated in the blended mentoring program for 5 months; whereas, the control group was engaged with a conventional face-to-face course, the content of which was similar to that of the mentoring program. At the end, both groups participated in post-test, and after 2 months, the same test was applied to them to measure the extent of retention. The data was analyzed using multivariate covariance (ANCOVA). The results showed that blended mentoring had significant effect on learning and retention rate (p<0.05). The results also indicated that blended mentoring led to a better learning and retention compared to the conventional in-service training with the aim of developing the managers’ competencies which requires learning at high levels,

The purpose of this study is to analyze and criticize previous models of learning environments and instructional design and present a new model in this context. The main questions of the study were: (1) what are the points of strength and weakness of the global popular models of learning environments and instructional design? (2) What is the appropriate model according to the blended approach in learning environments and instructional design? The research method was analytical-descriptive based on George Bereday method. First, the author of the paper collected the needed information from various sources; compared, analyzed and criticized the selected models and finally presented a new model based on blended approach. The statistical population was all learning environment and instructional design models, and the sample included eight of these models that were selected by purposive sampling method. The findings showed that the majority of learning environment and instructional design models were designed according to independent approach, and all key elements of the complete instructional design plan were not included in the models. Finally, an appropriate model based on blended approach and covering all key elements of the complete instructional design plan was presented.
