Abstract
This study aimed to develop and validate an educational package for parent-adolescent conflict management using concepts from Rumi’s Masnavi. This qualitative research employed thematic analysis. The sta-tistical population included the text of the comprehensive commentary on the Masnavi Manavi (Karim Zamani). First, data extraction used open coding of story summaries. Second, axial coding categorized simi-lar components into themes. Selective coding then expanded and orga-nized themes into broader categories, explaining the fundamental com-ponents of parent-adolescent conflict management. The educational package was designed as 18 worksheets. Content validity was assessed via expert opinion (child/adolescent psychology, educational psycholo-gy, psychometrics, literature) using the Content Validity Index (CVI), yielding maximum validity (CVI=1) for all exercises. Findings showed the parent-adolescent conflict management model based on the Masnavi comprises 6 main domains and 69 sub-components: cognitive develop-ment (27 sub-components), social communication (15), spiritual devel-opment (4), individual behavioral development (8), moral development (8), and emotional development (7). Given favorable content validity, this package can serve as an Iranian-Islamic culture-based intervention for improving parent-adolescent interactions.
