Abstract
Although educational games can be used in formal and informal educational complexes as learning assistants to encourage learners to learn, it is necessary that the educational content of educational games well with meaningful gameplay Design based on learning theories to ensure events meaningful learning. aim of this study is the effectiveness of teaching Persian lessons through Dowr Game with using Generative Functional model on the cognitive skills of sixth grade students.
research method used in research is applied in terms of type of purpose and in terms of quasi-experimental method and pre-test and post-test design with control group. The statistical population included all sixth grade elementary school students in Hamedan in 1399-1400, from which 20 people were selected by random sampling in two groups of control and experimental. The instrument used in the present study is a researcher-made cognitive skills questionnaire. ANCOVA and MANCOVA statistical methods were used to analyze the research findings.
Findings and results showed that Dowr Game training in the sixth grade elementary Persian course for students has an effect on their cognitive skills and improves these skills.
Also, another research finding is the effect of Dowr Game in the sixth grade Persian lesson on motivational, learning, knowledge creation and Generative skills. also, Dowr game Based on the proposed model helps to develop language skills, translingual skills, creativity of the player's mind and language, practice of perceived and perceptual language skills, mental imagery, cognition and reproduction of Persian words and combinations, consolidation and deepening of cognitive construction.
