The relationships between motivational beliefs with procrastination and class climate have been shown in previous studies. In this study, the psychometric properties of Classroom Learning Environment (CEL) Questionnaire were presented, and the mediating role of motivational beliefs in relationship between class climate and procrastination examined. 196 students of Birjand University were selected by cluster sampling. The research tools were Procrastination Assessment Scale (PASS Student Version), Motivated Strategies for Learning Questionnaire (MSLQ) and CLE Questionnaire. The data were analyzed by path analysis and multivariate regression. The findings showed that the class environment effected indirectly procrastination through motivational beliefs. Class atmosphere and motivational beliefs explained 28% of the procrastination variance. It also showed that the components of test anxiety and self-efficacy from motivational beliefs were predictive power of procrastination. According to these findings, motivational beliefs have a mediating role in relationship between the class climate and procrastination and should be considered in setting learning environment.

Procrastination means postponing the works or tendency to do it in the last moments. Procrastination causes high degree of anxiety and depression in student and also negative emotions. One of the efficacious components on procrastination is the lack of emotional regulation and disability of emotional self- regulation. Emotional regulation styles insist on concealing, adjusting and tolerating. This research was conducted to study the relationship between the procrastination behaviors of high school male students and emotional styles. The sample consisted of 252 students, which were selected through cluster random sampling method from schools of Rasht. The instrumentals used in the study were Procrastination questionnaire, and emotional styles. Data were analyzed by multiple regression (stepwise) method. The results showed that adjusting (Beta= 0.33) and tolerating are (Beta= 0.14) important predictor of procrastinations (p= 0.001). In addition, it was found that 11% of the variance of procrastination was accounted by linear combination of adjusting and tolerating decision making style.

The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship among perceived parenting styles, procrastination and self-handicapping. Current study is a descriptive research ofcorrelational type. For this purpose, the Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ), Tuckman's Procrastination Scale and the Self-Handicapping Scale (SHS) were completed by150 3rd-grade high school students in Karaj city who were selected through cluster random sampling. The data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and step-wise regression analysis. The results indicated that authoritarian style had significant positive correlation with procrastination and self-handicapping. Authoritative and permissive parenting styles have significant negative correlation with self-handicapping. The step-wise regression analysis also suggested that among perceived parenting styles, authoritarian style had significant and positive predictor of procrastination, and authoritative style had significant and negative predictor of self-handicapping. In general, it can be concluded that increasing warmth and involvement in parenting can decrease the harmful consequences of procrastination and self-handicapping behavior.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of mindfulness-based stress reduction program training on procrastination of pre-university male students. The research method was experimental with pretest-posttest design with control group. The statistical population included all pre-university male students in shahryar city in the 2012-2013 academic year, that among them by using simple random sampling, 30 students with high score on procrastination questionnaire (one standard deviation above the mean group), were selected, and randomly assigned in experimental (15) and control (15) groups. The experimental group had 8 session of mindfulness-based stress reduction program training. Tuckman's procrastination questionnaire used to gather data. The data was analyzed by covariance statistical method. Findings indicated that the research hypothesis “ effect of mindfulness-based stress reduction program training on procrastination” had been proven, and students of experimental group in comparison with control group, in posttest had a significantly less procrastination. So, we can conclude that mindfulness-based stress reduction program training has a significant effect on reducing the procrastination of students.

rocrastination means to have intentional delay in carrying out responsibilities. The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of training overcoming procrastination on decreasing pupils' procrastination and increasing their educational performance in turn. The sample included 46 elementary pupils were selected using random sampling method. The content of overcoming procrastination was trained to sample group. Researcher-made 25 item questionnaire was used to evaluate the amount of procrastination and pupils' grade point averages were used in order to evaluate the their educational performance. After gathering and analyzing the data, it was showed that training overcoming procrastination on procrastination caused decreasing on procrastination by using covariate analysis and also in comparison with control group; increasing educational performance of experimental group.
